On September 18, 2019, two protocols on Amendments in the agreements of Ukraine, Switzerland and Turkey on the avoidance of double taxation were ratified.
In particular, the Protocol to the agreement between Ukraine and Switzerland provides for an increase in the rate of taxation of interest and royalties from 0% to 5%; the procedure for mutual coordination of tax dispute resolution through arbitration has been improved and introduces a significant expansion of the ability of states to exchange tax information without reservations regarding the requirements of national tax interest or bank secrecy.
The protocol to the agreement between Ukraine and Turkey also provides for the possibility of exchanging tax information, as well as a new article has been introduced, according to which countries will help each other in collecting tax debts.
